I am a 25 year old female from Sydney, Australia.
I decided to start this website for a bit of fun, and at the same time to see if I can generate a small amount of money to help me on my way to moving out of home.

I'm not here with a sob story or anything like that, and I'm certainly not begging for money. I figure if I can give something back (banner space, text links), then this could really be worth it for both me and anyone interested in placing their banners on this site.

As the title suggests, the primary goal of HelpMeMoveOut.com is to help me move out :)
I am looking to raise enough money to move out of my parent's home in Sydney, and move up to Brisbane some time next year to begin my own life of independance (Sydney is way too expensive, for those that aren't aware!)

So that's my short story. I'm not expecting anything really from this website, but it will be interesting to see how things work out anyway.

How It Works + Rules

What if I am outbid after my banner is put up?
Your banner will stay in place for at least 3 days after your bid, even if you are outbid.
After this period, you may bid again (which will add to your previous amount), or you can give up the position to the current highest bidder.

Bids WILL be cumulative, in that if you bid more than once over any period of time, all of your bids will be added together to give your total bid amount.
This way, you only need to bid as much as you need to to gain your desired banner or text link position.

Banners or Text Links
You can bid on banners or text links, depending on your preferences.
By default, highest bid will be given banner positions, however you may request a text link instead.
Text links may contain keyword text as the link text up to a maximum of 4 words.
Banner advertisements should include alt text.
Animated banners are allowed but please keep file sizes down to ensure fast loading of the site.

Exclusions
Banners/text links of pornographic, pharmacy and spam sites will not be accepted. If you are unsure please ask me or you stand to lose your bid.

Banner sizes
By default, 3 different sized standard banners are available. These are:
468 x 60 in the 2 prime positions
120 x 240 in the top side positions and;
120 x 90 in the remaining banner positions.
All of these banner sizes conform to the banner size standards of the Internet, and were chosen because most online advertisers already have banners of this size made up.

What is the process?
The process of getting your banner online is to:
1. Place your bid on the Place Bid page.
2. Email your banner image and alt text in any one or all of the above 3 sizes to this email address.
If you have chosen to place a text link you may email the link text and URL instead of a banner image.
3. If you're bid is high enough, your banner/text link will be placed in the first highest position according to your bid.

Am I guaranteed a spot after bidding?
Only if your bid is high enough to either outbid advertisers. If there are no advertisers in a particular position, your banner/link will be placed regardless of the amount of your bid. Remember someone can outbid you at anytime. Your banner or link however will always remain online for at least 3 days regardless of anyone outbidding you.

Payment Methods
Payment is set up through Paypal, and Australian residents may pay by direct bank deposit if so desired (please email me for the details). Upon receiving payment I will contact you within 12 hours (24 hours maximum) to request your banner or text link if you have not emailed it to me.
Your banner/link will then be placed on the site in the appropriate position according to your bid amount.

Is there any extra incentive for high bidders?
Yes, all bids over $100 will receive banner ad's and/or text links on ALL pages within this website. ie the help pages, about me etc. These pages will be viewed alot so this will be worthwhile.
These banners may be any size you choose, and placed in a position of your choice, as long as my content remains "above the fold" on the page.
So, you could place a large banner on top of my content, or perhaps a tower banner down the side of the page. It really is up to you.
